Food Safety Plan Module: FAQs

Q: I am an Approver on a HACCP/Food Safety Plan, however, I do not see the Approve/Verify button when I access the plan?

When accessing the Food Safety Plan using the Actions button, ensure you choose 'Edit' mode and not 'View' mode. When you access the plan in 'View' mode you will not be able to see the Approve/Verify buttons.

Q: If I update a Risk Assessment Model or a Decision Tree Model within the Food Safety Plan Module, does this update carry over into my built HACCP/Food Safety Plans that contain these Risk Assessment/Decision Tree Models?

When a Risk Assessment/Decision Tree Model is updated within the Risk Module, these updates will not carry over into the Hazard Analysis' that have already been created within the HACCP/Food Safety Plans. The Risk Assessment/Decision Tree Model updates will only be viewable when a new Hazard Analysis has been created. Therefore, you must either:

  1. Manually delete all existing Hazard Analysis' and create all Hazard Analysis' again to contain with the updated Risk Assessment/Decision Tree Model.
  2. Send a ticket to the Technical Support Team requesting the Hazard Analysis to be rolled back to the Risk Assessment stage. This roll back will remove the old Risk Assessment/Decision Tree Model and allow the updated Risk Assessment/Decision Tree Model to be completed within the Hazard Analysis.

Q: If I update/change the name of a Hazard within my Hazard Database, does this update/change carry over into my HACCP/Food Safety Plans that contain these Hazards within the Hazard Analysis?

Yes, if you update the name and/or description of a hazard in the database and you already have it embedded into a hazard analysis, any changes will automatically update within the hazard analysis.

Q: In my Food Safety Plan, can I use letters or decimal places within my Process Step numbering?

No, this is not an option. The numbering is by default. However you can add the letters or different numbering into the process step name, e.g. 1A, 1B, etc. See example below.
